The special Automated Complaint System (ACS) WebTrak application allows you to view and replay helicopter operations around the LA Basin. It allows you to review and identify operations that affected you and file a complaint about them.
If you are a first time user of this system, please take a few minutes to read the “Start Here” and “Help” tabs in the upper left corner of the WebTrak site.
To find the helicopter flight track associated with your disturbance, use the date and time controls to select the time you are interested in. If you find the operation that caused the disturbance, click it to open its “info panel” and then click the “lodge complaint” button. When you submit a complaint about a specific operation ACS adds the flight track information to your complaint automatically.
Due to the operational characteristics of helicopters and limitations of the radar data, there may be times that a helicopter track is not shown in WebTrak, so you also can complete a complaint form without identifying a corresponding flight track. The information provided on the form will be used to automatically correlate the complaint to flight track data if possible, and will be recorded in the centralized system regardless of whether the complaint is correlated.
WebTrak is best viewed using a high-speed broadband Internet connection. A dial-up connection may also be used but loading the application and data will be much slower resulting in longer waiting periods, and it will not be possible to use high levels of acceleration when replaying flights. WebTrak supports the last 3 versions of all major browsers.
In addition to using this website, you can also file complaints using an automated telephone system by calling (424) 348-HELI (4354), or by filling out the form directly.
The information provided by callers will be included in the countywide complaint data; however complaints filed on the website will include the most comprehensive and accurate information.
